Mega Important News (The Good, and the Bad)
Hello! I don’t know how to write something like this, so I’m going to cut straight to the chase with the bad news.
This year’s BIG Christmas Giving Streams and The IRL Awards marks the end of my decade run of regular streaming
Since 29th December 2015, the first official date that I started streaming regularly, I’ve streamed almost 600 times and maintained an average of 1.15 streams per week, which in reverse equates to a stream every 6.15 days. Insane. I have streamed over 2300 hours of content for you in the last 10 years. Also insane. Ten. Whole. Years.
It’s wild to think back to where it all started. One YouTube video that eventually led to one stream, a tiny chat window, and zero idea what this would become. Somehow that small spark turned into a community that shaped over a decade of my life, and a decade of the most fun streams.
Why?
I have changed astronomically in the last 10 years, and so have you! Hell, I’m not the same person I was 2 years ago. We’ve all grown up massively – interests, priorities and offline life have all changed, and I think that’s shown more than ever in 2025 in my content.
What you hear and see on stream is exactly how I am off stream, which I think also shows how I am continuously changing in the same way you are.
Over the last few years, I’ve seen that same change reflected in this community. Many of us have grown, found new passions, jobs, studies, and that’s something to be proud of. We’re all ultimately adults with all the joys and challenges that being an adult brings, and it’s been great to follow along with your stories as you progress through life and I will continue to do so via this Discord community.
As viewership dwindles over time, I know you’re finding new and exciting things to do, and that makes me so excited for you. I feel it is time I begin to do the same.
I absolutely love streaming and have invested days, weeks, months, years, and now a decade, into developing what I call my escape from life. There’s not a single thing I would’ve done differently – I built half of the foundations of the IRL Community we know and love today, and if you’re reading this, I really appreciate you being here, because that means you must at least somewhat enjoy the results of this community and ultimately contribute to the other half of the core foundations of what makes a community strong – the people.
However, I need time to focus on myself. There are things in life I am slowly but surely working on. Whether that’s personal development, creativity, professional career or most importantly, mental health and wellbeing. I feel I am in a position where I’m ready to let the reins go of the streaming grind and commit to truly IRL focuses. Friendships, interests, health, the lot.
It feels strange to let go, but it’s also exciting to think about what’s next.
Maybe I’ll regret this and come running back – who knows! But after a decade, I feel I must try something new and see how I get on.
What’s next?
Despite me treating this like a goodbye, it’s not fully goodbye. It’s goodbye to an era, and hello to the new one. It’s not to say I will never stream again. I’d hate to truly pull the plug, so I still plan to stream here and there. I just can’t guarantee a schedule, if/when I will be, and how things will look in six months’ time (and again, I can’t guarantee I won’t immediately regret this and try to return to normal by February LOL)
I plan to continue the IRL Community on Discord and make this my core focus of maintaining a community online, and I plan to develop it in a way where we can all contribute to sustaining long-lasting, meaningful online friendships in a safe and inclusive space. I have been discussing with existing mods how I hope to include community ambassadorship in the moderation role, so they can continue championing a fun and inclusive community also.
I’ll still be around in Discord and on socials, cheering you on as I always do!
The… The Good News?! There’s good news right?!
And yes, there’s plenty of good news mixed in with all of this change. Because even as one chapter ends, we’ve got so much to celebrate together!
- We’ve got a solid foundation for the next couple of weeks in The BIG Christmas Giving Streams, fundraising once again for MIND, an incredible mental health charity.
- We’re celebrating the last decade of creation with an IRL10 campaign on Discord, including:
- A limited-time role
- The return of a Discord story event
- Giveaways
- We’re celebrating a small proportion of the good and fun in this community via The IRL Awards! This will be our final stream to wrap up 2025 and the decade of content creation on 19th December 2025.
- With more to come both now and in the future fraser4Heart

Before we commit to this next chapter, I want to say one last thing – Thank You
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all of you who have read this message. Thank you for sticking around all of this time, whether it’s been for 10 days to 10 years. (like wow godsofmecraft, you’ve been in the community since early 2015!). Thank you to my mods, my friends, my subs (both current and previous), those who have donated, whether via tips, bits, or Throne contributions, those who have sacrificed their Fridays for our Friday live stream, those who have spent time in chat, VC, or simply lurking to get their fix. There are so many people I’d love to name, both past and present, but out of fear of missing people out, I’ll leave names out and thank you all. Thank you for your support.
Our final celebration – The IRL Awards – will be live on 19th December 2025. I’d love for everyone, old and new, to join for one last chaotic, heartfelt night together.
So this isn’t really goodbye, it’s just the start of something new. Thank you for being a part of this decade long story. I can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings for all of us.
Here’s to a decade of memories, and to whatever comes next.
Fraser
